COLLECTION:
This series of work covers many styles and processes and is mainly figurative. To get to the essence of a subject I sometimes use plants I am illustrating to make the colours I apply to them.
It gives me a real connection to my subjects. This method of working also adds to my environmental credentials as does my use of found, discarded, repurposed grounds I try to work on.
Having an understanding of forms gives me a basis for abstraction and more expressive work.
